Arevik in the Netherlands
On 8th December “Arevik” was the first from delegations who arrived in the Netherlands. They were met warmly by the representative of the Armenian community Hovhan and the organizer of the Eurovision in the Netherlands, representative of AVRO TV. They accompanied “Arevik” to the Hilton Rotterdam hotel where they could have a perfect rest after exhausting flight. It is a luxury 4-star hotel, an island of tranquillity and comfort in the heart of Rotterdam, as they call it. Having rest “Areviks” went out for a walk through the streets of Rotterdam. The next day they went to Amsterdam and were very impressed by its architecture. There is no any high building there. There are only low buildings built in early centuries. In this fairy - land they saw the queen’s throne and the rest of the day they spent at Madame Tussaud’s. There they could enjoy wax figures of kings, queens, pop stars, politicians and even famous criminals. “Arevik” were photographed there with famous figures of Michael Jackson, Lenin, George Bush, Royal families and others. The figures produced great impression on them. The third day they were fortunate to go to Vincet Van Gog’s Gallery. It was rather a long way to get there. But neither the long way nor the bad weather could prevent from seeing the mastepieces of the great artist. The head of the departement of foreign affairs of Armenian Public TV Diana Mnatsakanyan helped them to perfectly understand what was told there about the life and paintings of Vincet Van Gog. After a long excurtion they got down to business. In Rotterdam they enjoy both rest and work. Though rehearsals had to begin on the 3d of December they were rehearsing and doing final works with their supervisor Armen Divanyan from the first day of their arrival. “Arevik” have already made friends with all the participants and have a very good time with them.
“Arevik” informed us that the resultes of primary voting in th? Netherlands are as follows:

Two Concerts in Cyprus
“Arevik” was invited to Cyprus for the period from 5th to 9th of October, 2007. The concerts were organized by the Cultural Committee of the Armenian Representative office under the auspices of the Armenian Representative in the Cyprus House of Parliament mr Vartkes Mahdessian. On the 5th of October the ensemble arrived in Larnaca where they were welcomed by mr V. Mahdessian and the member of the Cultural Committee mrs Nairi Mouradian.
The concerts took place on the 6th and 7th of October in the Municipal Strovolos Theatre in Nicosia where were presented the ministers of Cyprus, ambassadors of almost all the embassies in Cyprus as well as respected clergy including His Grace, the Bishop of the Armenian church of Cyprus and the intellectuals of the country.
There was storm of applause for “Arevik” at the both concerts. After the first concert had been over A. Divanyan and members of the group learned that there was also the boy who’s going to represent Cyprus at the Junior Eurovision song Contest 2007, Giorgos Ioannides.
Giorgos was aware that at the concert would be sung also the song prepared for Eurovision and he came to take a closer look at “Arevik”. Children of “Arevik” and Giorgos chummed up, and Giorgos in his turn performed his song for “Arevik” at one of the hearty parties. The boy has liked “Arevik”s song “A dream” and he confessed that it is the best one from all the Eurovision 2007 songs he’d heard. As it turned out the grandfather of Giorgos Ioannides is an Armenian by nationality/ Yeghya Boyajian/. The vocal coach of Giorgos, Silva, born and educated in Yerevan is an Aremenian too.
On the 8th of October the singers of “Arevik” took part at the liturgy at the Cyprus “Surb Astvatsatsin” church after which they were invited to the residence of the Bishop where they listened to the history of the Armenian church in Cyprus. Children were so glad to hear about the deep impression of the Bishop from the concert and the pride he had in that Armenia has such talented children who spread the Armenian song all over the world. The Bishop gave presents as keepsakes and booklets with holy motets to “Arevik”. At the meeting and at one of the concerts was also present the Bishop of Greece who said that he with pleasure would be ready to see “Arevik” in Greece.
“Arevik” saw the Mediterranean Sea in the Lebanon but in Cyprus on the beach “Ayanapa” they could enjoy it again not only admiring its image but also swimming in it and sunbathing.
The Armenians, Greeks, blacks and the English which were at the concerts confirmed that there was no concert like that in Nicosia before.

“AREVIK” in THE USA
June 12th, 24th “Alex” Theatre, July 1st “Holly Trinity” church -hall
In June, 2005 children’s and youth ensemble “AREVIK” was invited to the USA with a new program titled “ONE SUN AND “SUNNY GROUP” FROM YEREVAN TO LOS-ANGELES”.
This was not only a title. There are DVDs, CDs, songs recorded with notes and midi-files bearing the same title in our web-site. In flow of a month “AREVIK” appeared before the audience with shows and interviews in the live TV-programs but the aim of this tour was the two solo-concerts held in one of the most famous Los-Angeles “Alex” concert-hall. It was full of different age and nationality audience. The concert program headed by Armen Divanyan was quite interesting and dynamic. A wide range of repertoire was represented by the group. Everybody was enraptured with artistic and professional vocal performance of the participants. However, the most delighting among all was the sincerity and ingenuousness of the children which was of the first and the foremost importance. This is one of the main goal of Armen Divanyan “AREVIK” group’s art director. The right musical education and national upbringing of Armenian children living in Diaspora are also very important for him and he tries to realize these aims or at least to contribute to their development through such tours and also with the help of “AREVIK” TV programs.
“AREVIK” was able to make such a glorious tour by the support and invitation of Edward Khalajyan – the director of Armenian 26th channel “AGMA” in Los-Angeles. “AREVIK” represented the same concert held in Los-Angeles to the Armenian audience.
The concert was held in the concert hall of the theatre named after G. Sundukyan where the audience enjoyed the songs and nice performances of talented Armenian children.
